The Cleveland Clinic announces its search for a physician to lead the Section of Diffuse Parenchymal Lung Disease, in the Pulmonary & Critical Care Department of the Integrated Hospital Care Institute. The Section of DPLD includes five programs: Interstitial Lung Disease, Rheumatic Lung Disease, Sarcoidosis, Rare Lung Disease and Occupational Lung Disease. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to recruit several individuals within the Section, with a focus on expanding the clinical and academic portfolio of the Section. While a large volume clinical practice is not a mandatory component of the position, the successful applicant will need to be recognized as an excellent clinician. The individual could be at the associate or full professor level. A funding package is available to establish adequate support for success.

The Department is particularly interested in qualified candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community. The successful candidate will also be nominated for a faculty appointment at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine (CCLCM) of Case Western Reserve University at a rank commensurate with experience of Associate or Full Professor level. CCLCM is a five-year program that trains medical students to become physician investigators, integrating basic science, research and clinical medicine.
